• Preferred Criteria

  The preferred criteria for selection of the recipient of the Wallace H. Coulter Keynote/Plenary Lecture Award is a letter describing an individual who is integrally involved in the development of a biomedical device, diagnostic test/device or combination device drug/device, licensed during the last five (5) years to either a company with sales over $100,000,000 or to a startup that received at least $5,000,000 in venture capital funding.

  (IP license that is not a biomedical device or diagnostic test, or combination device will not be considered.)

• Award and Honorarium

  The recipient receives complimentary registration to the Annual Meeting, where they will present their lecture, plus a trophy and an honorarium of $5,000. In addition, BMES will pay all travel expenses associated with the awardee’s attendance (and spouse, if applicable) at the BMES Annual Meeting.

  **The Awards Committee will screen all nominations, critically evaluate the nominees’ records, and submit its recommendation to the BMES Executive Committee for approval.
