BMES Athanasiou Medal of Excellence in Translational Bioengineering

The BMES Athanasiou Medal of Excellence in Translational Bioengineering Award (the Athanasiou Medal) recognizes the achievements of an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the field of biomedical engineering with particular focus on translation. Achievements include significant research contributions in translational bioengineering and/or the development of new products in biomedical engineering.

The awardee must be a BMES member in good standing who has demonstrated significant leadership and achievements in biomedical engineering and contributions to BMES as a society.
