We are no longer accepting applications for any special sessions you’d like to host during the 2023 BMES Annual Meeting in Seattle, WA, from October 11 -14.

The Special Session Application Deadline:
May 15, 2024 at 11:59PM ET
To ensure that organizers can assign approved space and secure the program of events,
applications received after May 15 will not be considered.

What is a special session?
Special sessions are events and functions for attendees that do not fit within an existing track and often include:

Committee meetings
-
Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings/events
-
Lectures
-
Panel discussions
-
Board meetings
-
Social events
-
Award ceremonies
-
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner events

Who can apply?
Any BMES member, committee, SIG, affiliate, or stakeholder may submit an application.

How much does it cost, and how do I apply?
Applying for a special session space is free when you complete the submission form. However, if you are requesting more than one session, you must submit a request form for each one.

Why do I need to submit a request?
All sessions, events, functions, and activities that are held in conjunction with the 2023 BMES annual meeting by sponsoring companies, related organizations, committees, or SIGs, whether at the Seattle Convention Center, host hotels, or outside venues, must be approved by BMES.

When will I hear back?
BMES will review all requests for special sessions, and a confirmation of their approval/denial status will be sent to the contact person submitting the request in mid-August.
