Why BMES?
BMES serves as the lead society and professional home for biomedical engineering and bioengineering. Our leadership in accreditation, potential licensure, publications, scientific meetings, and education, as well as our commitment to ethics, all serve our mission to promote and enhance knowledge and education in biomedical engineering and bioengineering and its utilization for human health and well-being.
BMES membership benefits include significantly reduced registration rates for the high-quality Annual Meeting, offering more than 2,000 leading scientific presentations, exhibit hall, and sessions of networking and career development, amongst others. BMES members also receive a subscription to the weekly newsletter and a subscription to our four journals. Members also receive online access to the BMES Career Connections job board listing career opportunities and internships and may also post at a reduced rate.
BMES members may also select member-only content on our website, including a searchable directory (including functionality to search for or be a Mentor); access to join BMES Committees and Special Interest Groups and their associated meetings as well as online education.
Other membership benefits include the opportunity to receive awards and recognition (including election to Fellow), voting rights, and the opportunity to serve on leadership committees and other global initiatives in the Society to advance the field of biomedical engineering.
