Coulter Foundation pledges $1 million, Sue Van accepts Distinguished Achievement Award

Sue Van, president and chief executive officer of the Wallace H. Coulter Foundation received the Biomedical Engineering Society's Distinguished Achievement award at the society's Annual Meeting in Seattle Friday morning.


In accepting the award, Van praised the longstanding partnership between BMES and the Coulter Foundation. In recognition of that relationship, she presented the society’s with a plaque depicting the Coulter Principal, technology that revolutionized laboratories, health care and industry.

Van also pledged a $1 million grant to BMES.
